5 Best Craft Blogs Which Inspired Me
In this post, I would like to share with you some of the best craft blogs out there. The authors of those blogs are so inspiring. Each f them had her own unique influence on my crafty life and encouraged me to keep creating, working hard, and dreaming big.
Repeat Crafter Me
This was one of the first blogs I discovered. Sarra Zimmerman is a very talented designer with an infinite amount of ideas for new projects. Her instructions are simple and the way of presenting information is extremely easy to understand. Her blog is a perfect place for a complete beginner who wants to try to crochet everything for everybody. The vast variety of cute projects she provides will help with that. Her projects are not complicated at all and will be a great match for an inexperienced maker. I loved her blog for how she makes it look so easy to crochet different pieces. I did crochet and sold quite a few of her animal hats. You can also find on Sarah’s blog a lot of great ideas for crafting using other materials than yarn. Besides crafts, she shares yummy recipes for your crockpot. You can also check out Sarah’s wonderful book Crochet Cute Critters: 26 Easy Amigurumi Patterns. It will be a great addition to your collection of crafty books.
Moogly
Almost at the same time, I discovered Tamara from Moogly and was drawn to her inviting, soft, warm, and kind personality. I loved how simple she was explaining the stitches. At the beginning of my crafty journey, I wanted to try everything and didn’t know what I would fall in love with the most. That’s why I loved the variety of patterns Tamara offered on her blog. I enjoyed following her easy patterns. Her great tips and recommendations were especially appreciated. Recently I noticed a couple of interesting sections on her blog. The first one, which is called Moogly Maker is where Tamara shares stores of makers from all over the world who sell finished pieces using Moogly patterns. I admire the way she supports fans and fellow makers. Another section is Advertising. With such a great audience of Moogly readers, any blog would benefit from it. Check out some testimonials.
Twinkie Chan
Even though I haven’t made one single thing using Twinkie Chan’s patterns so far, yet, it is one of the most inspiring blogs which I visit regularly. Once I discovered her blog, I was glued to yummy “dessert” photos. I admire Twinkie Chan’s talent and mesmerized by her designs. I always find inspiration on her blog. This is the blog that helped me to realize that there are no limits to what you can make with a simple crochet hook and a yarn. I am sure Twinkie Chan’s designs would be a hit on any local markets. They are very unique and fun. She also has a few books published that you’ll absolutely love.
Sewrella
Later on, I discovered a Sewrella blog. It was the very first blog that made me think about blogging myself. It planted a very deep desire, more like a dream, to have my own blog at some point in the future. I had zero knowledge of how to start a blog, and zero understanding of how it all works. But each time I was visiting her blog, I questioned myself, “Maybe someday I will have a blog too”?! Ashleigh created a wonderful course Sewrella Method where she is teaching passionate crafters like you and me how to create a blog and she even teaches how to design crochet patterns. I purchased the course and skimmed through the content real quick. It is definitely worth investing time and money. I am planning to go through the course soon to learn how to serve you guys, better.
A Crafty Concept
Last but not least! Actually, I saved the best for the last. I have a special love for this blog and its amazing author Ashley. I think I discovered it in 2018 through Instagram. This was the time when I learned about stories and how bloggers can talk to an audience through stories about personal stuff like you are her best friend. And I felt like Ashley did become my friend, my person. She shared so much free beneficial content, shared so much experience and tips and adviceā¦ For free!!! I watched her for about a year and she gained my trust. This is why when she launched the Crochet Boss Academy for the first time as a membership, teaching how to sell finished pieces, I had no doubts about signing up. I knew it would be the best investment of my time and money. And it was. I learned so much from her. Now, the membership is turned into a course with lifetime access and all updates added after purchase. I recommend it 100%. A crafty Concept blog will be a great one to follow for those who love easy, beautiful designs to crochet. It will be very helpful for those who want to learn how to sell their finished pieces and grow their business. But if you are very serious about your business, I recommend a Crochet Boss Academy course. I got priceless business tips and strategies for selling my product. Most importantly, I gained confidence in myself and my work. I don’t worry about competitors as many other people do. I discovered my uniqueness and authenticity with Ashley’s help for which I am forever grateful!
