#1 Resource For Your Crochet Business
Hello dear fellow makers. Today’s article will be devoted to those of you who want to turn your hobby into a business. Or maybe you are already working on growing your crochet business but it just has been really slow and you really need some guidance and help.
Anyways, I am here for you and ready to share everything I am going through, everything I am trying, and everything I know.
So, why listen to my advice?
In 2021 I opened a new Etsy shop and it grew pretty well to the point that satisfies me. I have at least one sale almost every day! Now I have a Blog, which I always dreamed of having. My Russian Instagram account grew pretty quickly and now I am working on an English one. I finally started a youtube channel. Even though I am still at the beginning of my journey, everything is going great so far.
In this article, I want to share with you one of the things that really helped my craft business to get going. And trust me, if you sell finished pieces, I guarantee that the recourse that I am going to share with you, will definitely help you to set your crochet business apart.
Ready? It is Crochet Boss Academy!
What? Another course? You may say, no thank you! But I say, just wait and see what are my arguments.
A little history of Crochet Boss Academy.
Now, let’s talk a little bit more about Crochet Boss Academy (CBA). Originally CBA was designed as a membership. Members were supposed to pay either monthly or annually for the membership. Each month there was a designated topic. Ashley provided a whole lesson, plus lots of videos, plus lots of outside resources related to the monthly topic.
Besides that, all members were invited into a private Facebook group where we could discuss the current topic, help each other with suggestions, and find collaborations. The group was constantly monitored by Ashley and her moderator. Ashley also had lives going on every week where we could ask her questions about current topics and get instant replies from her. She poured so much labor and effort into this membership.
As we were reaching the end of the first year, it was getting obvious that there is no way one single person could keep up with the same rhythm. And even though Ashley does have enough knowledge and creativity to crank up monthly issues for the membership for years and years ahead, there is just not enough time to realize all of them monthly at the same pace. So she came up with a great idea, to turn the CBA membership into a course.
All of us, the very first CBA members, who instantly believed in Ashley and the great value of her product got pretty good bonuses. We got a great price. We got a chance to save all the content of the CBA issues in its original form. And we got lifetime access to the course as it is now. I am not telling you this to tease you. I am just reminding you that those who sit and fear the risk lose more than those who jump into a good deal. Don’t miss out on great opportunities.
My experience at Crochet Boss Academy
Signing up for Crochet Boss Academy in 2020 was the best decision ever. It was the first course (membership at that time) that deserved my trust. I never regret investing in Ashley and her product, because I got so much more back. Much more than I expected to receive.
Ashley will not pop up in each YouTube video with annoying “free training” ads that are only made to make you buy their course. She is a real person, a crochet business owner. She is a God-fearing woman who made her dreams come true. And now she is sincerely striving for all other women, like you and me, to make their own dreams come true.
She is the one who opened my eyes to the topic of competition and helped me to realize how unique I am. She helped me to get confidence in myself and made me believe that my work was worth something. She helped me to overcome my fears and come out of my comfort zone. My mindset was completely changed. And that alone makes the CBA so valuable in my opinion.
If you would just follow her Instagram for a little bit, you would understand what I am talking about.
I applied all I learned in CBA to my Russian IG account and grew it to more than 800 followers in a short period of time. Just recently I began to work on my English account and it gained about 100 new followers in a couple of weeks. I know that what Ashley is teaching in CBA really works, as long as you are ready to apply your knowledge instead of just sitting on it.
Who the Crochet Boss Academy course is for?
Ashley always says that her course is for finished pieces sellers only. She doesn’t teach how to design patterns or how to open a craft store or how to become a crochet tutor and teach others how to crochet, etc. She makes it clear, that the only thing she is teaching in the course is how to sell finished pieces. She doesn’t recommend this course for those who are growing other types of crochet businesses.
I can agree with that. If you want 100% of the course content to be applicable to you, you do need to be a finished pieces seller. However, from my experience, I can say that I ended up becoming a yarn shop owner and a crochet designer in the end. And I still refer back to the lessons Ashley provided and they still help me a lot.
As I said previously, the mindset shift which is happening while you are going through the course is alone extremely important for a business owner to get on the path to success. Besides that, there are multiple topics that are applicable to any type of business. I truly value and appreciate Ashley’s insights and expertise and guidance on those topics. And I would definitely pay for the whole course knowing that not every single topic would be applicable to me in order to get access to the lessons which are applicable to me. But It is just my personal opinion.
Also, if you don’t have much support from your family members, you absolutely need someone who believes in you. Ashley, along with your “classmates”, can be your person. She truly cares for her students and gives them everything she’s got. And she truly cares and strives for your success.
CBA Today.
In Crochet Boss Academy, first of all, Ashley is helping you to find yourself, your identity, and your authenticity. She is covering such an important topic as Ideal Customer. I am sure you have heard about it a lot, but you never realized how important it is to know, who is your ideal customer. The work on your business becomes so much easier when you know, who you are working for. And honestly, for me, this topic was like rocket science. But Ashley made it easy to understand. Plus she provides an enormous amount of personal support during the course if you need any.
I already knew some basics of selling on Etsy. I had my shops in the past. But there still were so many technical details that she mentioned in the course that I overlooked. So, if you are new to Etsy, she will guide you from A to Z. And once again, I love that you can always ask her anything!
Another big topic for me was an Email List. I didn’t realize how important it is to have a database of your customers in case Etsy or any social media goes down and you lose all the contact you had with them. This is actually critical for any business owner. I tried to set up Email List in the past. But it got too complicated and nothing came out of it. Just about a week ago I set up my new email list for my blog following step by step Ashley’s instructions. I already have 7 true subscribers and a clear strategy to continue to grow my email list.
The next big one was SEO! It was like dark deep woods for me. I have to be honest with all the great work Ashley did, it is still kind of confusing. But the truth is that the more I go over and over the SEO lesson, the clearer and more understandable it gets, piece by piece. She did a great job explaining this topic. And it is one of the critical ones as well in my opinion. Trust me, you will need all the help with SEO that you can get.
In CBA, Ashely is also talking about fun stuff like building a brand, social media strategy, and selling on markets. Everything is explained in a very easy-to-understand and follow manner. Besides the course content, you will be invited to a Facebook group where you can interact with all your classmates. This is so awesome.
All CBA students will become members of a dedicated Facebook group. First, you can always get help there. Second, you can keep each other accountable. And third, you simply can encourage each other. In the group, you can find “colleagues” to create collabs. Ashley will be going live regularly, where you will be able to ask anything, you want related to the topic that the course is going through. So, even though you may go through the course at your own pace, I would recommend going together with the group, so you could stay in the loop and ask any questions that come up right away.
On CrochetBossAcademy.com you can read a concise description of the CBA and what students can expect. Also at the bottom of the page, you may subscribe to the email list, to make sure you won’t miss the day when doors open to enroll. I am sure spots will be limited because Ashley wants to provide the best tutoring and mentoring to each of you! So you still have some time to think about it and get prepared for a big jump, a leap of faith, to the future success of your crochet business.
Conclusion.
The knowledge and skills that I received from CBA are priceless. I came to the CBA with a very blurry idea of what I wanted to do and left CBA with a clear plan broken down into many small achievable goals.
If you are interested, then subscribe here to be notified when the course opens its doors again. Follow Ashley on social media to know more and ask any questions that you may still have.
Please, understand!
If you would go through the CBA course and won’t see the results, 99% chance that it is because you didn’t hustle enough to apply everything you learned. Because I know from experience, what Ashley is teaching, does work!
Remember!
Knowledge without application, without turning it into actions, is pointless.
